PADI Specialty Courses in Dahab

Some PADI Specialities, such as ‘Deep’ and ‘Nitrox’ can be regarded as essential for the keen scuba diver. Others, such as Underwater Photography or Underwater Naturalist will appeal to those with a specific interest in those subjects.

Alternatively, you may just want to have fun by learning to use a ‘Diver Propulsion Vehicle’ (DPV) help protect the environment with ‘Dive Against Debris’ (DAD) or take a step toward more technical diving with a Sidemount course.

Some specialities such as Dive Against Debris are completed in a single dive, other specialities can be 2, 3 or even 4 dives. Often, a dive you did on your PADI Advanced Open Water course can count at the first dive of the speciality. For instance, the PADI Deep Speciality is 4 dives, but the ‘deep’ dive you did on the AOW course counts as the first speciality dive, so you only need to do 3 more dives for the complete speciality.

Whatever your passions, Sea Dancer offers a wide range of PADI Speciality courses to help you take them underwater!

PADI Specialty Courses: enriched air nitrox

PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox)

What is Nitrox? And why use it? Simply put, it is air that has been ‘enriched’ with extra oxygen. More oxygen in the tank, means less nitrogen in the tank, which potentially means a longer dive time or more dives in a day.

Diving with Nitrox is ideal on liveaboard dive trips and when doing multiple dives over a relatively short period. Many divers even say they feel invigorated after diving with Nitrox rather than normal air.

This is an essential course for the serious diver.

PADI Specialty Courses: deep diver

PADI Deep Diver Specialty

There may be times when you want to go just that bit deeper. If you feel the call of the blue, you need to have the knowledge and skills to explore it safely.

During the PADI Deep Diver specialty course, you will learn about how depth effects your perception and physiology.

On completing the PADI Deep Course, you are certified to 40 meters, that’s a whole lot more of the ocean to explore!

PADI Specialty Courses: DUP

PADI Digital Underwater Photographer (DUP)

Get a camera, get an underwater housing, jump in and snap away, how hard can it be? Then you see your photos, lots of blurred bluey-green fish, and of the hundreds of shots and only a handful are any good.

The PADI DUP course will give you the knowledge to take photographs to be proud of.

You will see the difference!

PADI Specialty Courses: sidemount diver

PADI Sidemount Diver

Discover a whole new way to dive with the PADI Sidemount Diver Course. Rather than a single tank on your back, you have a tank clipped onto each side of a special ‘harness’ BCD.

This style of diving stems from divers exploring caves and needing to be able to pass through narrow underwater passages, while also providing extra diving gas and safety. It’s also a doorway to more technical diving and ideal for those wanting to dive solo as a self-reliant diver

For many divers who learn sidemount there is no going back to single tanks!

PADI Specialty Courses: Fish Identification

PADI AWARE – Fish Identification

“Was it blue with yellow stripes? Or was it yellow with blue stripes?” It’s frustrating when you can’t remember or identify what you’ve just seen.

Do you know the ‘Nemo’ fish you just saw in the Red Sea, is actually a completely different species to the ‘real’ Nemo? and isn’t it just great when you know some fishy facts that others don’t?

We will open your eyes to a new way of seeing and understanding what the fish are doing.

PADI Specialty Courses: DPV

PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Diver

Step up the fun and learn to use a DPV! These underwater ‘torpedoes’ have their serious uses, but this course is mainly purely for fun.

After a thorough safety session, you can jump in, strap on and give is some throttle! Most say it’s the most fun they’ve ever had underwater. Try it and find out for yourself!
