Dahab is the ideal location from which to explore the magnificent natural beauty of the mountainous Sinai desert.
The Sinai peninsular offers unique scenery ranging from imposing mountains, dramatic canyons, peaceful oasis, mangrove forests and weirdly wonderful landscapes. Add to this the rich history that has taken place over 1000’s of years and you begin to see why there is nowhere quite like the Sinai.
We offer a full range of excursions by jeep, camel or on foot, from one day trips to several days so you can explore this fantastic and unique place.
Jeep SafariS
We take to the desert by 4 wheel drive jeep to explore the magic of the Sinai. Your “desert fox” driver will traverse the desert, taking you places you would think that it’s impossible to pass!
All our requirements for the trip, (water, mattresses, cooking gear etc) are transported on the roof of the jeep, so we can be self sufficient for our time away from it all.
Given here are some typical tours. These can be changed or combined to create your own unique Sinai experience.
2-Day Safaris
North Sinai
Wadi’s – Dunes – Canyons – Bedouins - Oasis - Snorkelling
Day 1 – From Dahab our 4x4 jeep takes us to the Arrada Canyon. We hike through the canyon to rejoin our jeeps and on to the white and yellow landscapes of Wadi Safra. From here we visit some impressive sand dunes to tumble down their step sides. On to Gebel Makrum, known as “The Mountain with a Hole”, next is the White Canyon and Ain Khudra Oasis where we have dinner with the Bedouins and spend the night.
Day 2 – After breakfast we drive through Wadi Ghazala to see the “mushroom tree” before arriving at the Coloured Canyon for a spectacular trek. We continue onto Nuweiba to swim / snorkel and have lunch before heading back to Dahab in the late afternoon.
Central Sinai
Holy Sites – Canyons – Wadi’s – Dunes – Mountains - Bedouins
Day 1 – We drive to St Catherine’s and 
start this trip by visiting the famous monastery there. Moving on to the Arrada canyon, we take lunch, and move on to Wadi Ghazala and Ain Khudra Oasis. We share dinner with the Bedouins and camp with them overnight.
Day 2 – Breakfast is followed by a hike through the White Canyon to be picked up by our jeeps. It’s a short drive to Nawamis to see the oldest, stone, Bedouin houses in the Sinai. On again to Wadi Safra with its large sand dunes and nearby Mt Gebel Makrum, with its bizarre landscapes. After lunch at a fresh water spring we drive back through Wadi Gibi to Dahab.
West Sinai
Oasis – Mines – Wadi’s – Holy Sites - Landscapes - Bedouins
Day 1 – An early start takes us to the largest Oasis in the Sinai at Wadi Feiran, visiting a Christian monastery on the way. 
Now we move on to the Bedouin village of Serabit El Khadim to climb the mountain of the same name and visit the temple of the ancient Egyptian goddess “Hathor”. Back to the village we have dinner and spend the night.
7 Day Safari
“The Full Sinai Experience”
Day 1:
Arriving in Sharm el Sheikh, overnight stay in 3-star hotel.
Day 2:
Depart from Sharm el Sheikh to Abu Zenima. Straight through the desert and Wadi Arattala until we reach the Bedouin village of Serabit el Khadim, where we will spend the night.
Day 3:
Walk on the Serabit el Khadim
mountain (755m) and visit the ancient Egyptian Temple of the goddness Hathor. Visit the turquoise mines in Wadi Baala. Our drive continues through Wadi el Ramla and we visit the holy gravesite of Sheikh Hebus and the “forest of pillars ”. We cross through Wadi El-Seih and Wadi Mekattub to Wadi Feiran, the biggest Oasis in the southern Sinai: 10’000 palm trees! Arrive to the St. Catherine’s area at nightfall and stay overnight with Bedouins.
Day 4:
Early morning (2:00) we climb up Mount Sinai (2285m) to enjoy the sunrise. Later we visit St. Catherine’s Monastery. Our drive continues to the Blue Mountains and through Wadi Arrada where we can see rock engravings. Overnight.
Day 5:
A walk through Wadi Arrada followed by driving through the Wadi Safra and Jebel Burga areas. We look at the Nawamis stone dwellings. Drive through the spectacular Coloured Canyon.
In Nuweiba we swim/snorkel or just relax before we return to Dahab in the evening
.
Days 6+7:
Relaxation time in a 3 star hotel in Dahab. Qualified divers can visit our famous dive sites and non-divers can experience the fascinating underwater world with an “Introduction dive” or by snorkelling .
Day 8:
Transfer to Sharm airport. Return flight.
