\nThe waters surrounding Ras Mohammed are considered the jewel in the crown of the Red Sea. Most, if not all, of the Red Sea\u2019s 1000 species of fish can be seen in the park\u2019s waters, including sought-after pelagics, such as hammerheads, manta rays and whale sharks.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

SHARK \/ YOLANDA REEF<\/h4>\n

Ras Mohamed has many sites which offer fantastic diving but the most popular is Shark to Yolanda reef.<\/p>\n

The dive begins at the sheer reef wall, which drops off to 800 meters, watch your depth! You then swim either north or south around the reef depending or the prevailing current. There is actually a very good chance of seeing sharks here, especially in the summer months. Even if there are no sharks on your visit the life here is amazingly abundant with large schools of barracuda, jackfish, batfish and snapper.<\/p>\n

Heading across the pristine corals of the shallow lagoon there are common sittings of giant morays, turtles, massive Napoleon wrasse and even the occasional whale shark or manta!<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t

<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
\r\n\t\t\t

Yolanda reef is named after the vessel of the same name which sank here in 1985. While the ship itself has sunk into the depths, the ship\u2019s cargo of toilets and bathtubs remain which add a surreal feel to this site.<\/p>\n

Other sites at Ras Mohammed include \u2018Shark Observatory\u2019 \u2018Anemone City\u2019 and \u2018Jackfish Alley\u2019 amongst others.<\/p>\n

Diving at Ras Mohammed can be done by itself as a day trip, but is normally combined with diving at the SS Thistlegorm<\/a> wreck.<\/p>\n

This is a fantastic trip for \u2018wreck addicts\u2019 and lovers of marine life.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been said that if you don\u2019t enjoy this trip then you should give up diving and try something else!<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t
